AHHS/CEDL Medal Series
TRACE Short/ Long Stirrup Hunter Medal Fences to 23. Open to Junior and Adult Amateur riders who are not competing at the same show in any hunter or equitation class in which the fences exceed 29. The same horse must be used in all phases. Only one rider per horse. . An Open Numerical scoring system must be used with each riders score announced at the completion of their round. No flat phase. Two tests are required within the course phase. Option at final to test the top 4 competitors. Riders return in the same tack.

Jr/Am Jumper 0.75m AHHS/CEDL Mini Prix Series Awards are presented at the Year End Awards Celebration Top horse/rider combinations for each height section will be named mini prix series champion for their section. Points will be accumulated at shows throughout the year at approved competitions with double points at designated finals tournaments. To be run under Table A Article 238.2.2. Immediate jump off optional.
0.75m Mini Prix The AHHS/CEDL Team Cup Series Awards presented in July The AHHS/CEDL Team Cup was developed to give riders the Nations Cup Team experience. Junior / Amateur riders compete in their respective height divisions at qualifiers throughout the year. The following qualifiers have been approved for 2011: Willow Grove April, Bow Valley I, Bow Valley II, and Willow Grove June tournaments. Additional shows TBA Heights: 0.75m, 0.85m, 0.90m, 1.0m The top placed rider from each height will form the AHHS/CEDL Cup Team. Those team members will receive a free entry into the team cup competition at the Mid Summer Classic III Finals and an AHHS/CEDL saddle pad. Western Canadian Show Jumping Championships The $25,000 Western Canadian Championships were introduced in 2010 by the Canadian Equestrian Development League/Alberta Hunter Horse Society. The Western Canadian Show Jumping Championships offers five divisions 1.10m, 1.15m, 1.20m, 1.30m and 1.40m, with a total of $25,000 in prize money being distributed. Riders counted their scores over three days of competition held Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The first competition is a Table C event that will set the order of go for the competitors returning for phase two. Riders earn scores based on their result in the Table C event, and will return in the reverse order of their scores in phase two, where their total score were be carried into phase three. Upon the completion of the first round in phase three, the top 8 riders will ride a jump off with their total score carried into the jump-off. The horse/rider with the lowest score over the three competitions and jump off is crowned the Western Canadian Champion of the respective division. |
