AHHS/CEDL Hunter Classic Series


AHHS/CEDL brings you the Hunter Classic Series, which are a series of stepping stone events for riders to gain experience toward competing in the Jump Canada Hunter Classics. Hunter Classics are offered with no minimum in prize money and be held at Gold, Silver and Bronze Equine Canada rated shows.

The AHHS/CEDL Hunter Classic is a two round hunter classic and the horses are being judged on performance, hunter pace and style, quality and substance, movement and brilliance.

Riders will be asked to navigate a minimum of 10 obstacles in the first round and a minimum of 8 obstacles in the second round.

Obstacles will simulate those reminiscent of the hunt field and course should offer a variety of Classic jumps with different appearances such as: natural post and rail, stone wall, white board fence or gate, coop, aiken, hedge, oxer, brush, logs, natural foliage.

A minimum of 8 entries, dependant on number of entries, will return for Round Two, if available. All riders in the Top 8 overall must ride for ribbons.


Hunter Classic Series

Finals Held end of August.

All Participating shows in the AHHS/CEDL program may offer a qualifying Hunter Classic upon registering with the AHHS/CEDL. Horses must compete in one additional Hunter Classic to qualify to ride in the finals.
